Our activities
Sunday
Sunday is usually public running day in South Park (weather permitting). Live steam and solar electric locos haul our trains round the park to the delight of children and parents. No fares – just donations.

The club has several steam and electric locos and these are supplemented by members' locos.
Sunday is not restricted to public running but access to the track and running schedules will be controlled by the officer in charge. Visitors with locomotives must show appropriate boiler certificates and insurance.
Monday
Reserved for activities.
Tuesday
The team meet from 10am until after lunch to run small gauge engines in the club house in South Park. There are a range of tracks including 2 & 3 rail OO gauge with options for a range of controls including DCC. The layouts are under development and in it anticipated in the future scenic additions will be added to provide a full small gauge layout adding a new dimension to our hobby.
Wednesday
The Wednesday gang are responsible for maintenance of the rail track and site facilities and for the groundwork and planting in our part of South Park. They meet 10:30am till 2pm, weather permitting.
Thursday
The raised track is a available for members and visitors to run the smaller gauge scales of 2 1/2 & 3 1/2 locomotives as well as having the opportunity to test their engines, discuss improvements, repairs and latest construction projects.
Sharing technical help being a key feature of these sessions and just enjoying the running of the engines.
Friday
Two meeting nights a month at St Catherine's Church Hall. See What's On
Saturday
Reserved for special activities. The track is available on all days for members to enjoy the facilities.
